Team
Gary R. Dyer has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Farm Credit Services Southwest since 1990, and employed in the Farm Credit System since 1974. He is originally from a farming and ranching operation in northern California. Gary took a short sabbatical from the Farm Credit System in 1981 to 1983 to serve as California State Executive Director of USDA Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. Gary
is involved in numerous organizations, including the A.S.U. Advisory Board
for the School of Agribusiness and Environmental Sciences.
John began his Farm Credit career in 1978, and has worked in various capacities throughout the Farm Credit System before joining FCSSW in 1990. John
is currently a member of the Arizona Treasury Management Association and
the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.
Joel L. Lorenzen
Senior Vice President/Chief Credit Officer We are fortunate to have Joel L. Lorenzen on board as our Chief Credit Officer. Joel comes to us from Northwest Farm Credit Services in Spokane, Washington, where he was Regional Vice President and had full accountability for loan administration in western Washington. Joel grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, where his parents were educators and part-time farmers.
Joel has been in the banking and agriculture business most of his life.
He has been in the Farm Credit System since 1980 and prior to that he
was General Manager for Klichitat Valley Grain Growers, Inc. C.
Richard Cook Southwest Regional Senior Vice President C. Richard Cook is the Senior Vice President for the Southwest region of Farm Credit Services Southwest. He is headquartered in the El Centro (Calif.) office. With more than 31 years in banking, Richard has worked for commercial banks in lending and appraisal functions. He joined Farm Credit in early 1993.
Don Walker is our Northeast Regional Senior Vice President headquartered in Tempe. He worked for various farming and livestock operations while growing up in the Glendale area. Don at one time worked for Farmers Home Administration in Buckeye as a loan officer for emergency funding of loans for farmers flooded by the Gila River. Prior to joining FCSSW, Don spent 12 years in the agribusiness department of a commercial lender. He started with FCSSW in December of 1993 in his current position. He
is a former Chairman of the Arizona Agricultural Bankers Association and
is currently an honorary member.
Ken
Lassen is Senior Vice President, Agribusiness Financial Services and Marketing.
A native Arizonan, Ken was raised in a third-generation farming family.
