Donation benefits Farm Bureau's YF&R program

Who will take this Polaris All-Terrain Vehicle home after the Arizona Farm Bureau YF&R drawing on November 12? FCSSW donated the ATV for the raffle.

This summer, a sportsman green-and-black Polaris All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) sat in the lobby of the Arizona Farm Bureau building in Higley, drawing many wishful looks from visitors.

The Polaris Sportsman 600 ATV, donated by FCSSW, is the grand prize in the annual Arizona Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher (YF&R) raffle.

In a thank-you note to FCSSW President and CEO Gary Dyer, Paul Brierley, Member Relations Manager of the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation, wrote, “We are very excited about this raffle, which is our main fundraiser. Our goal is to raise a healthy $12,000, which will allow us to run a vibrant program for the coming year. Your generous donation will help us achieve our goal!”

Hopefuls who spend $20 on a ticket for the grand prize have a 1-in-700 chance to bring the powerful and rugged ATV home. Gary Dyer said, “Farm Credit is happy to help Farm Bureau prepare young farmers and ranchers to become agriculture’s future leaders. We have a longtime commitment to helping Arizona’s young agriculturalists.”
